Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Highlands Family Dental welcomes new patients of all ages. You can book online through our website or call us at (281) 426-3558. No referral is required.
What are your office hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We are closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of any current medications. If you have recent dental X-rays from a previous provider, bringing those can be helpful. Arriving 10 minutes early allows time for paperwork.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online at any time through our website, or call us directly at (281) 426-3558 during office hours.
Do you treat children?
Yes. We welcome patients of all ages including young children. We recommend children start seeing a dentist as soon as their first tooth comes in, or by their first birthday.
Do you offer emergency dental appointments?
Yes. We reserve time every day for dental emergencies. If you are in pain, have a knocked-out tooth, broken restoration, or facial swelling, call us immediately at (281) 426-3558 and we will get you in as soon as possible.
Insurance & Payment
What insurance plans do you accept?
We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Guardian, Aetna, GEHA, Humana, MetLife, Delta Dental, and Cigna. If you don't see your plan listed, call us and we will check your coverage.
Do you verify my insurance before my appointment?
Yes. Our team verifies your PPO benefits in advance so you know exactly what is covered before treatment begins. There are no surprise bills at Highlands Family Dental.
What is Cherry financing?
Cherry is a flexible payment plan option that allows you to spread the cost of dental treatment over time. Cherry offers no-interest options for qualifying patients and does not require a hard credit check to apply. It is available for most treatments at Highlands Family Dental.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
We can still help. Cherry payment plans are available to make treatment affordable without insurance. We also provide a clear cost breakdown upfront so you can plan accordingly. Ask our team about current options at your consultation.
How much will my treatment cost?
Treatment costs vary depending on the procedure and your insurance coverage. We always provide a clear cost estimate and verify your benefits before any treatment begins. Cherry financing is available if you would like to spread payments over time.
Does insurance cover cosmetic dentistry?
Most cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening, veneers, and tooth contouring are not covered by insurance as they are considered elective. However, some procedures that serve both cosmetic and functional purposes — such as dental bonding on a chipped tooth — may qualify for partial coverage. We check your specific benefits before we recommend any treatment.
Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?
Traditional Medicare does not cover routine dental care. However, many Medicare Advantage plans do include dental benefits. We verify your plan before your appointment. Please call us to confirm whether your specific plan is accepted.

Can I bring a family member to my appointment?
Yes. Family members are welcome to accompany patients — particularly for older patients or those with anxiety. We also welcome family members to be present during consultations and treatment discussions if that makes the patient more comfortable.
